Oh, it's beautiful! There are sunflowers in our yard but a friend planted them so I have no idea what they'll look like. I think they may blossom this week. There's a beautiful song by, hmmm, suddenly I can't remember who it's by, but it's called "Golden Choirs of Aubiere" and is a reflection on how fields of sunflowers turn their face to God, and the singer wishes he could be so faithful. Lovely.
Okay, in the song the sunflowers turn their face to the sun and "watch" it all day as the sun moves across the sky... That's how the singer imagines a relationship with God can be, with our faces always turned toward God...

Wow! Did you count the petals? or the spirals? It is very pretty. I want to grow some myself this year.
Wow - I've seen sunflowers all my life, but none with this rich, fiery tone. Kudos!
