I just learned today that my dear friend's mother passed away in November. I'm sending Eileen these images taken this afternoon of leaves in the brilliance of late autumn sunlight. They fall from their tree in fiery passion before slowly withering into the ground as the weather turns colder. Eileen is a wonderful woman, colleague, friend, mother, and wife. Her mother must have been an amazing woman, too-- every bit as passionate as these leaves in her own way.
